Magnolia Mansion is historically known as the Harris Maginnis Mansion, and once operated as the headquarters of the American Red Cross during World War II (1939-1954) now operates as one of New Orleans finest upscale Bed & Breakfast Guest homes. Magnolia Mansion has set a new standard of opulence for European style New Orleans Bed and Breakfast accommodations of up to nine luxurious uniquely themed bedrooms with elaborate décor, and gorgeous. Trucks, RV's, trailers, and moving vans can not be accommodated. With eleven phenomenal Corinthian columns, this property is one of New Orleans most photographed and treasured Historic Garden District Antebellum Homes (built in 1857-58). At the Magnolia Mansion you are never far from the magic of New Orleans - the tastes, the sights, and the sounds. Guests arriving before 3:00 PM or after 7:00 PM must notify the Magnolia Mansion to make proper arrangements. Magnolia Mansion is just one block from the St. Charles Streetcar, and within minutes of the French Quarter, five star restaurants like Commander's Palace and Emeril's, the convention center, cemeteries, the Mississippi River paddlewheels, major attractions, the Superdome, and shopping. Because Magnolia Mansion caters to romantic retreats, the hotel is unable to accommodate children. This B&B is centrally located and considered to be "The Gateway To The Garden District". All guests at the Bed and Breakfast must be 21 years of age or older.
